Topics |
This 2-day symposium will provide a comprehensive update on a
wide spectrum of neurological disorders including the management
of patients with benign and malignant brain tumors, pituitary
tumors, stroke, cerebral aneurysm, adult hydrocephalus, movement
disorders and facial pain syndromes.
|
Description |
Recent studies indicate the clinical neurosciences are rapidly evolving. It is imperative that clinicians understand the latest diagnostic and treatment approaches to optimize outcomes, and be aware of clinical trials and potential future advances in the field. As such, this symposium will cover current management for brain, skull base and pituitary tumors, cerebrovascular disorders (stroke, aneurysm and AVM), movement disorders (Parkinson's disease and essential tremor), hydrocephalus, and facial pain syndromes. The symposium will also look to the future with talks on the use of stem cell therapy for stroke, nutritional therapies for malignant brain tumors and focused ultrasound for movement disorders and brain tumors. Two outstanding keynote speakers, both world leaders in the neurosciences include: Dr. Brent Reynolds discussing neural stem cell therapies for neurological disorders, and Dr. Neil Martin discussing the future of integrated clinical neuroscience using genomics and big data.
