| Description | Course Overview
Recent studies indicate that pituitary tumors and related hormonal problems are more prevalent than previously thought. The conference will provide a comprehensive update on the clinical manifestations of pituitary tumors and hypopituitarism, recent treatment advances including hormonal therapies, endoscopic surgery, radiosurgery and radiotherapy. An optional live broadcast of endoscopic pituitary surgery is also being offered on the Friday afternoon prior to the conference.

| Objectives | At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
* Identify the high incidence and prevalence of pituitary adenomas in the general population
* Interpret pituitary tumor clinical presentations, relevant anatomy, imaging and histopathology
* List current treatments for acromegaly, Cushing's disease and prolactinomas
* Explain the appropriate management paradigms for pituitary incidentalomas
* Discuss current indications and outcomes of endonasal endoscopic pituitary surgery
* Review indications and outcomes of radiosurgery and radiotherapy for pituitary tumors
* Define the link between traumatic brain injury and pituitary gland dysfunction |
