| Topics | TRENDS IN THE NEURO-ICU and TEAM BUILDING: There are many challenges to the delivery of intensive care in the emerging future. Shortages of nurses and physicians will continue to be a challenge. This year we will feature a core curriculum for Neuroscience Nurses and focus our attention on the use of advanced technology on treating critically patients in a rapid and thoughtful way.
NEUROLOGIC EMERGENCIES and CRITICAL CARE: Emergency neurology crises as well as complex treatment of Neuro-ICU patients will be addressed. Controversies will be discussed.
CARDIAC ARREST: There now exists very strong evidence that changes in CPR and post-cardiac arrest hypothermia are important advances in treating patients with cardiac arrest.
SIMULATION TRAINING: There are challenges to achieving and maintaining critical care competencies and accreditation for practioners in neurociritcal care. We will provide fundamental and advanced concepts on brain monitoring techniques. We will feature our novel, state-of-the art NeuroICU simulator and challenge our faculty and attendees to a showdown with the simulator.
AUDIENCE RESPONSE: There will be a live audience response for each lecture and the simulation sessions. |
